Scotch scotch scotch scotch

Hi there. New guy here. I guess it's up to me to break the ice.

So...

The most-cherished bottle in my liquor cabinet -- and by "liquor cabinet," I mean "the top of my microwave" -- is a 15-year-old Laphroig.

Am I worthy of your envy? Or your contempt? And does it change anything if I say that I fervently hope Barack Obama wins the presidency?

Will Hugh Hewitt revoke his blurb because I said that?

OK, I'm at the dance. Will anybody make eye contact with me? I'm so nervous.

You made it! Lucky you. You're two hours ahead and well into cocktail hour. Welcome, Joel. Let's laugh to keep from crying!

Actually, Joel, Hugh's blurb -- "read them only with extreme caution" -- makes even more sense with you around. :-)

I'll make eye contact with you, pal. Might even take you for a spin. But you are what I consider you a four-scotcher -- and NO slow dancing! At least not until scotch #5.

Finally, a real man among the rum and gin quaffing Monkeys.

But please take the Laphroig off your microwave immediately and give it a place of honor. What is it with your liberals anyway? If you aren't desecrating the flag, you're desecrating good Scotch.

Where should it go then? Top of the fridge?

Man, I need a liquor cabinet.
