Dead Man Walking

I got my sleep study results, and my Apnea-Hypopnea Index was 110.

That's how many events per hour, right? So you were basically having to wake up a little a couple times per minute to take a breath.

Wait until you get your CPAP. The first few nights your body will be playing catch up, and you'll probably wake up in the same position in which you went to sleep (I doubt that's common for you), and you'll be incredibly wide awake in the morning. It doesn't last, but it's still miraculous. I hope they give you a humidifier with it; it's very important in Arizona.

I recently added a humidifier to my CPAP set-up. Don't think that you have to live with only what "they give you." I've acquired all my CPAP stuff on my own, outside of doctors and insurance.

Of course, I've had a real sleep study. I don't recommend that anyone just buy a machine and try to set it up without informed medical guidance. Consult your doctor. All disclaimers and warnings apply. Don't try this at home, unless you're a monkey.

I've bought a bunch of stuff at CPAP.COM. They've been great.

Jesus! For the amount of money that stuff costs you'd be better off not sleeping and investing in No Doz.

Well, No Doz works for a while.

Then the voices come.
