Here are some reasons why.
Randy Pausch, a professor at Carnegie-Mellon University, was a beloved mentor, friend, husband and father. He was among the world's greatest teachers and dreamers. He died of cancer on Friday at the age of 47, which he knew was coming for months. And he planned, and left a legacy — which has become a hit on YouTube and beyond.
His "Last Lecture," delivered on Sept. 18, 2007, is 76 minutes long. But if you have the time, you should watch it. And see other great lectures at his website.
Here's the final one — a lecture to inspire anyone who does anything. It's about life, a life's work, how to love life, and what's important (and many other things). It's also quite funny, and really, not to be missed.
I defy you to not be inspired, and tear up.
